is hereby given
that the Newton County Board of Commissioners,
Newton County Indiana will receive
sealed bids
at the
Auditor’s Office in the Newton County
Courthouse 201 N
Third St Kentland,
IN until 3:00p.m. local
time, on
Friday
January 13th 2012 for the following:
Four
separate
bids for
lawn care and upkeep on County Owned Properties
Newton County is
the owner of the following parcels that need
lawn and landscape maintenance

Second Bid No 2.
: Generation Center (approx ¾

North Ambulance Base (approx. five (5) acres)

Collins Memorial Center Enos (approx three (3)

South Ambulance Base (approx three (3) acres) US

Bids for lawn
and landscape maintenance for the above listed
groups may be for individual, group or for any
combination thereof. The lawn and landscape
maintenance service for which bids are being
solicited include the following:
1.
Grass Mowing
2.
Lawn Edging
3.
Weed Control
4.
Fertilizer/Chemical Application
5.
Trimming and Caring for all Shrubs and
trees
6.
Spring and Fall Clean up
7.
Mulching
All bids are to
be submitted on the prescribed forms, which are
obtainable from the Newton County Auditor at
201 N 3rd St Kentland, IN or can be
found online at
www.newtoncountyin.com.
Each BIDDER will be required to file with their
bid the regular bidders bond or a certified
check in the amount of ten (10) percent of the
bid as a guarantee of good faith and for the
liquidation of damages payable to the Treasurer
of Newton County IN., subject to the approval of
the Newton County Board of Commissioners, and
also a non-collusion affidavit as provided by
law. All bids must be submitted in a sealed
envelope plainly marked Lawn Bid, Company’s Name
and which Number and Numbers they are bidding on
the outside of the envelope.
The Newton
County Board of Commissioners reserves the right
to reject any and all bids.
Bids will be
accepted in accordance with Indiana Code IC
5-22-1-1 (Public Purchasing Law)
